#11: a lot like christmas, but not quite?

It's December 22nd and I fear I'm not in a Christmasy mood at all... to combat this, I helped my mum with grocery shopping, listened to Christmas music and got things to make hot chocolate - I hope it works, I really want a nice Christmas this year. However, I am proud to say I can finally rest and I think Christmas break is already working its wonders; I slept in for the first time in weeks today after staying up until 2 in the morning with Lena, we made popcorn and watched a scary movie and shared songs and caught up and went insane together, which was long overdue for both of us. I guess Christmas has once again snuck up on me, but I guess there's nothing I can do about it now except dilly dally around with Frank Sinatra on my headphones X)

The past week at school was quite stressful, I had a lot of tests etc., but most of them did go well and I'm not falling behind anywhere (I think). Surprisingly, the only test that didn't go the way I wanted it to was art theory, it was on a topic I understood fully but there was so little time for the scope of the test. The teacher told us the first test usually goes badly for most people, I didn't believe her but now I understand what she meant. Whatever, next time will be better and I'm still happy with my general academic performance at the moment! On Thursday, we started the media studies project we were practicing for with the last photoshoot I shared. This one will be graded, but we do have three more periods to finish it so I'm not too worried, especially because the pictures we took turned out amazing (and this time not only the ones of me, but also by me... very glad everything worked out!). Here are some of my faves!

my favourite ones I took so far -
these will probably be in my submission!

I'm super happy with the progress me + my partner made on Thursday because last week, I might have been comfortable in front of the camera but wasn't great at finding the right camera settings yet, and Mena is a fantastic photographer but she was a little unused to being in the position of the model - but we helped each other out and genuinely improved so much each in our unknown territories, I'm quite proud of the two of us!

I also finally got a haircut on Saturday - the first one since the big chop. I'm very happy with how it turned out, though I haven't gotten completely used to it yet, i asked my #1 most trusted hairdresser to also take some weight off of my top layers and didn't realise just how thin that would make my hair. I really love the way it frames my face though, and my hair grows super fast anyway! The same day, I went to the Kraftwerk concert in my city with one of my elementary school best friends and his parents, which was so fun and a little life changing. I still haven't fully grasped that this actually happened...

Now, I have a break from school for a whole MONTH - our Christmas break is two weeks long and right after is another internship block, giving me lots of time to get some stuff done, for the better or for the worse.. I hope I manage to plan the time properly so I can actually be productive. Among some smaller things, I have to get started on my internship report, which might take a long time because we have to use a program I'm not very familiar with for it. I guess everyone in my class is new to this though, so at least I'm not alone!

Anyway, I need to get to my super important tasks this evening (getting myself in the Christmas mood by just chilling the hell out in a different font than usually) so I must leave you here, but as always: Thank you for giving my your time! Happy Holidays and I'll see you next week for the last issue of Project Dreamer of 2025!

Lots of love

x juno
