It's Sunday and I'm sitting at my kitchen table. I'm home alone again, my mother has work in another city so I'll be on my own for two weeks - well, not entirely alone, I do have my cats after all X) To be honest, I didn't think I would handle it as well as I am, I was home alone so much around this time last year and I was in a really bad place, so I didn't take care of myself like I deserved and it's hard to look back on. But I am glad to report I am actually doing great so far! I did get sick over the course of the week, it has gotten insanely cold and the first snow has fallen, but I took most of the last two days to recover and I might not be completely back to healthy but it's gotten much better!

I can't lie though, this week has been DRAINING. I had so many tests and graded assignments, literally one to two each day - except for Tuesday, I was supposed to hold a presentation but we didn't get to it time wise so now I have over two weeks until I actually have to present. But as promised, here are the results of my art assignments!

As I mentioned, I also had a German and a Maths test this week, which both went okay??? I think?? We'll see, I don't think they went badly though. On Thursday, we had our first graded assignment in Media Studies, kind of a photography challenge, which was fun but got confusing at times because we'd only talked about camera settings for like 10 minutes last week and we didn't even get to try it out before getting graded on it... I think it went okay though, but I got scared when I saw the others' projects!! Why is everyone so good at this?????
But here's some exciting news: Wednesday was a national holiday (so no school!) and my mum and I went to a thrifting "warehouse" (more of a basement, it's a long story...) and the prices were actually insanely low, meaning we got a bunch of adorable clothes for a really good price!!

My mother recently had a really big success in her career and we wanted to celebrate somehow, and because she's looking for cool stage outfits for her concerts, this was an absolute win!
Tomorrow, I'm going back to work, but first thing in the morning I need to go to an appointment to request my personal id... meaning I probably have to get up at 5:30 in the morning. Well, I guess it'll be worth it? I got my picture taken twice because I hated the first one so much I literally had a panic attack on my way home - not because of general insecurity but I was super rushed and the photographer wasn't too nice so I ended up looking like a completely different person. It is kind of annoying I paid for two pictures but those 25 Euros are definitely worth looking okay on my id for however long I keep this picture for!
I'm also gonna try to socialise a little outside of work next week, I am alone after all and I think I'll go crazy if I only talk to my colleagues, my cats and my mum on the phone. I don't want to stress myself out too much though, so we'll see what comes of it!
